Sonia Vanhook completed a Master of Science in Occupational and Technical Studies with a concentration in Business and Industry Training from ODU. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in eMarketing from the UVA, a Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Executive Management from BU, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a Proficiency in Business from TTU.
Mrs. Vanhook is certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia to teach Business and Information Technology, by the Virginia Community College System to teach online programs, and by Quality Matters as a Peer Reviewer for online courses.
Sonia is a Board Member of the American Advertising Federation, a Steering Committee Member of SWVHEC College for Older Adults, President of Wolf Hills Toastmasters, and a member of the Virginia Society for Technology in Education.
For the past 25 years, she has been employed by the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center where she has worked in the Administration Office, Conference Services, Testing Center, Business Office and the Education Department.
