Mucking Around with the Micro:Bit

Micro:bits are an inexpensive, pocket-sized computer that can be used as the base for physical inventions. This hands-on session will provide an introduction to the micro:bit, the MakeCode scripting tool and time to do personal or collaborative inventing related to content area standards. Participation is limited to 25 attendees. Each attendee will receive four Micro:bit Go V1 kits to use during and after the workshop. To fully participate, attendees should bring a laptop with two USB ports (or a hub) and any required adapters, and a set of wired headphones with a typical headphone jack. Prerequisite: Ability to access and copy files to an external drive such as a flash drive.
