Do you ever feel like you just can’t squeeze in the time to integrate computer science standards into an already full schedule? This presentation will offer you a solution that you can use throughout the year in a variety of subject areas. Students will learn to use very basic programming to create algorithms to solve math problems (in this particular presentation). Once the activity is explained, the students will be interacting with one another through a hands-on activity that does not involve the use of a computer. I will cover how to use the provided printables, as well as alternative solutions, to create many small group or station activities to best fit your classroom needs. Though this lesson is primarily geared to early elementary, it can be adapted for use in other grades.
